I wonder if my old Metz CT-1 would damage the istD? It's the only flash I have which does plain autoflash.
I use a Metz 60CT-2 with no problems. I also use a Photogenic PM800 studio flash and a Norman P2000D studio flash, both with no problems (as ong as I remember to plug the sync cord in with the polarity correct).
So no, I wouldn't think your old Metz is going to be a problem.William Robb
