the limiting factor for today's cameras is the interface speed, which is partly determined by the number of channels available for transferring date from the buffer to the drive.

Forgetting about the price for the moment, for TIFFs, RAW and 3fps JPG
bursts, what is a practical speed?.
Is the camera's buffer(?) speed a limiting factor?
