I agree. However, the burner delay is somewhat predictable. I was trying to photograph my grand daughter last night with the point and shoot. She darts every which way and frequently ends up with her back to me, so my hit rate was about one in ten. Lots of fun though:-).

Kids are much less predicatable. I remember trying to use my Canon G1 for shooting dog races. I eventually got fairly good at it, but I had an advatage that I knew the dog would be in a particualr spot, I just had to predict a second or so in advance when it would happen.
It's much easier with a DSLR.
I take it you've been on a few flights?
