An FYI: I tried the Takumar 135/3.5 lens hood on the FA 50/1.4. I see no vignetting in shots of a white wall. It's a nice metal hood for this lens.That should be a good, tight hood for a 50! :-)I use the Kalt (generic) 49mm metal hood. Not quite as much protection, but smaller and handier. $9 or so from B&H.
