Greater Snowy Egret. Hard to expose correctly and are extreme wary. Difficult to 'catch' at anything like close range. Ya did good. I have this fantasy (and many others) of catching one of these, back lit, preening under its lifted near wing with its head and neck shadow clearly seen on the wing. It would, of course, need to be standing on one leg in a placid shallow pool which is reflecting a stunning well lit sunset. I'll keep looking.
