No, Pentax is not a requirement for PESO posts by list members.
Awhile back Shel Belinkoff suggest we do a PAW (Photo A Week) like on
the Leica list. One of our Scandanavian members, I forget just with one
(Jostsein?) suggested we change that to PESO (Photo Every So Often) so
people would not feel they had to post a photo every week. It also had
the benifit that it was our idea and not swipped from another list.
The idea took off as you can see from the many PESO posts. Prior to that
folks ocassionally post links to their photos, but usually only when
they wanted technical help.
However, I do strongly suggest that folks label their photo submissions
as PESO and not use other acronyms because many list members use that to
sort the photo posts into a separate folder. Using something else or
making up your our defeats the purpose of the idea, and your photos
merge into the main list where they often are not seen by the folk who
want to mainly look at photos and avoid all the other stuff.
