perception that they're being pro-active in fighting terrorism and trying
to make people feel safer.
Bingo.
Sadly, they are misguided.
Eventually they will figure out that you can't actually fight terrorism and
win, at least not the way they are doing it now (basically, by being
terrorists themselves), but this is probably not the place to voice these
opinions.
