Thanks everyone for your opinions; with a few notable exceptions there
isn't a great deal of love for this shot. I sort of like it myself. In
the circumstances I wasn't sure whether I should bother taking the shot
or not. I'm glad I did, and will continue to do this sort of thing in
the absence of alternatives (i.e. when I don't have or am not inclined
to set up my flash or tripod.
The suggestion to rotate it was a good one, it does look better that way.

It doesnt do much for me. I'd prefer a deeper zone of focus. But bug
shots rarely do much for me anyway.
