Jack, Don't bother with a grey card, it doesn't matter what you shoot, make it 1/2000 with the lens cap on and you'll achieve the same result. All you are trying to do is record the embedded colour temperature information in the file, that is controlled by the WB selection nothing else. You can then use these recordings or the standard in camera colour temp selections to apply in PCR.
