Dear Mr. Genuinely, Over the years I got into the habit of putting the lenscap on when I changed film, so just in case I drop the camera there's that little extra protection for filter rings and the like. As well, I like to have the cap on, just so I know the "real photographs" from those of the first couple of wind-ons before "0" <LOL>. With a mechanical camera it's never been a problem. With the LX, the exposures in the dark of the lenscap are infinite. So, I change the shutter speed. I won't do it that way any more. -frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson
