First, thank all of you for your prayers and concerns while I try
and beat this health problem. It seems that I came down with some
severe staph infections early last summer, partly as a result of
radiation for prostate cancer. The first surgery hopefully cleaned
out the infection, with more surgery coming up to reduce the chance
of a future recurrence. Hopefully I'll be able to get things
squared away in time for this year's NPW. Those of you that know my
wife, Phyllis will be aware of this, but for those of you that don't
I wouldn't have made it this far in my recovery without her support.
I've still got a PT nurse coming 3 days a week trying to strengthen
my legs enough to get by without the walker and wheelchair. Once
again, thanks for your prayers and concerns.
