Thanks, Paul. The model and her roommate told me that she could do much
more impressive things, if she only had the time to get properly warmed up
first. Sadly, we didn't have the time to find out exactly what they were
referring to.
This image was shot on her approximately 1-meter square coffee table in her
living room, with a black velvet background against the wall behind her. I
think I just bounced my camera flash off the ceiling for the lighting. It
certainly wasn't anything exotic, but I think it worked well enough.
I have to admit that the scan is a crappy scan. Some of the highlights are
blown out, but I think the original color negative was well exposed.
Trouble is, the original negative also has been damaged by
fungus/mold/whatever. It would be a nightmare to retouch all the flaws in
that negative now. I might still give it a try, since it's hard to find a
new model to recreate that image with -- not that I've given up on finding
another model like that either. ;)
