I think, as someone pointed out earlier, Doug's list software strips out all attachments, so it should be pretty much unable to distribute viruses. I just got a "PDML Digest" even though I'm not a digest subscriber. Came from the PDML IP address, so... Here's what I think is happening: Someone on the list is infected and the virus is sending to all the addresses in his/her address book, *including* the digest subscription addy. These viruses also use fake "From" addresses - which are also grepped from the victim's address book. So whenever one goes out to the list server with your address in the From line, you'll get something like this (with no attachment). -- Mark Roberts Photography and writing www.robertstech.com
