Hi!
I just bought Soligor Power Winder for manual focus Pentaxes, and I
encounter some strange problems with it. Have Pentax ME.
Shutter behaves odd when winder and camera are set to "Auto": it locks open
for up to 30 seconds, when lightmeter shows 1/125 and longer, and at 1/1000
it seems to shut at 1/250 or 1/125. Anyway, much slower than it`s supposed to.
I`ve investigated the problem and it seems that the winder turns the
camera`s lightmeter on when I push tbe button on the winder`s grip, BUT
TURNS IT OFF, I REPEAT: OFF JUST BEFORE OPENING THE SHUTTER. PENTAX ME and
ME II winders KEEP the lightmeter ON when the shutter is released and until
it`s closed, right?
The effect of that is exactly what I wrote before.
Any suggestions? What may be the cause of that? I suspect some
short-circuit between winder electronics and camera chassis causing the
lightmeter turn-off.
