Puh-leeze, Cotty. Don't bring Phil Askey's nonsense into this.

The DS produces very nice JPEG rendering in-camera, but PA's tests are done with the camera set to its *defaults*, which are designed to allow printing to 4x6" prints directly out of the camera. It does that brilliantly but those files do not stand up to post-process editing or pixel peeing very well.

If you want to produce the best JPEG results for editing and pixel- peeping with the DS, you need to change the camera's settings from the defaults.
