==========
I found the images interesting, Cotty. And if it were a man's hands I would
be tempted to darken it that much. But they weren't, they were female, and
somehow it was too dark for that. But it is similar to how I manipulated the
image
of my Mom on her bed for the PUG. I darkened the background (slightly) and
whitened up the face (slightly). For dramatic impact. Because I felt it made it
more stark. And focused the attention on her expression. Different technique,
but same idea, manipulating the B&W areas/tones/contrast of a B&W image.

So that is the one thing I got out of all this -- people showing me their
take on Mom's hand clasp -- that manipulation is allowable. I CAN play with
B&W,
and try different effects, for different kinds of impact. It doesn't have to
be real "real."

Not, maybe, a good explanation of what I mean. But I think you get it.

As a former painter I tend toward more interpretation and less "real"
representation anyway. Although my stuff to date may have not shown it that
much. But
as I progress along, I am sure it will show it more and more. Reflect my
basic inclinations. And some people may like my stuff, less and less as I do
that.
And some may like it more and more.

Later, Marnie aka Doe ;-)
