I actually think the Flash programming hurts the presentation of the
images. For one thing, the way the screen goes blinding white in between
successive images is quite distracting and annoying. I also can't help but
think that Flash galleries such as this one are slower than traditional
HTML galleries.
I know that Flash is trendy for artsy galleries, but I don't think it's
worth it, for a mere image gallery. If you had a gallery of animations,
needed to employ audio on your site, or made use of interactive multimedia
content, flash would be fine for that. For simple photo galleries, I think
most Flash galleries are a slow, bloated waste of resources.
However, other than the Flash aspect, I really like the individual images.
It's a pity that I couldn't give them my full attention, because of the
distracting Flash presentation.
