I depends upon the relevance or need for colour accuracy for the project at hand guess, some obviously benefit from colour management some can get away without it. Simply put direct digital image capture has made colour management easier, more accurate and faster. Basically now any Joe Blow shooter can produce colour accurate shots using very basic equipment (if they are given a few basic tips).
