Aw, Annie... <virtual hug>.
I am not depressed. Santa has already come here. He left a drill press,
and what Cotty would call a lump hammer. He also left a faux wood tool
box, but I loaded the piece of junk on a passing reindeer and sent it
back to the north pole.
With a watchmakers lathe and a drill press I now seem to have a machine
shop in my kitchen. How strange <run laugh track>.

Oh dear....
I'm sorry, but I looked at about twenty so called
photos there and some
inane unnecessary comments about them - only one
even resembled a photograph.
Yeah, they are funny signs, but no, they are not
photographs.
I try hard not to merely show a sign in any of
mine.... sadly, when National
Lampoon published some of my stuff, they cropped
down to the sign!
Maybe I don't always succeed in my ventures into
ironic juxtaposition or
getting more out of a sign shot than a sign, but
at least I try...
I came across one or two that showed at least some
small sense of composition
but then it would get ruined by someone making a
gratuitous comment underneath,
just incase some of the viewers didn't "get it".
I've sure taken some pics that are just signs,
where the light is poor and
ther were not any interesting shapes - but I don't
show them to anyone -
I just snap so I won't forget the sign.
and, since I'm already in a rant about it, I'll
point out the comment on the
site that sits there as you scroll through the
snaps ....
"Photographs of signs
That transcend their objectivity
To reveal our humanity"
gag me with a spoon...
annsan grumpily - well its December and I'm
depressed...
but I mean every word nonetheless....
