I took a look at the image after reading your message. The ceiling is
stuccoed, and I think the unevenness you're seeing may be a function of
that. It doesn't appear to be related to the lighting.

I read somewhere, that it was recommnended to shot room interiors at
night, so you wouldn't get outside light intrusion through the
windows. The bright windows might be less intrusive if it was dark
outside.
