Hello guys/girls,

I am looking for a replacement of my AF500FTZ flash for my
pentax PZ1-P. The flash was dropped and died :(

I am considering buying the new sigam EF-500 or EF-500 super.
They are cheaper than a new AF500FTZ and have about the same GN.
Does anybody use them? The main difference seemed that the
super has strobe, second curtain sync, exposure compensation.
The questions I have is:

1. Pz1-P has second curtain sync option on body, exposure
compensation on body, red-eye reduction on body, etc. If I
set one of those options on body, does the flash, even in
the case they don't have this feature, work on that mode?
If I set, say, a flash compensation of -1EV, will the flash
shoot with this configuration, even if they don't have this
feature? The same for second curtain sync and red eye.

Thanks,

Alex
