I just thought a few of you might want to see the original portrait that I used for the "Burning for You" image:

I want to mention that I know the color and tonality of this image isn't that of a standard portrait, but that was intentional. I wanted something different, something that would get people's attention. I also want to add that this was shot on slide film, and that the "look" of the image came from the lighting and not from Photoshop. (For those people keeping track of such things.) I did use Photoshop to fix one or two minor skin blemishes, and a few dust spots on the scan of the slide. However, there was no "creative manipulation" involving Photoshop. This is how the slide actually looks, and it is also pretty darn close to how the scene looked to the naked eye when shooting.

As for the odd cropping, I had considered later adding something into the right half of the frame when I took this shot. The large empty black area was reserved for that purpose.

As always, comments are always welcome.

take care,
Glen
