What about an A50/2,8 macro, they are reasonably sharp wide open and seem to be
pretty abundant on the used market these days?

Interesting statement, can I just confirm that you are of the opinion that the A50/2.8 is sharp wide open? I would have guessed that it would be designed to work stopped down (*very* stopped down :-).

Any related comments on the K50/4 then?

Jostein, I can lend you both an A50/2.8 and a K50/4 if you want to experiment (sorry I did not volunteer the FA50/1.7, I just use it too often in the dark winter months). Let me know in private.
