I had an opprotunity to shoot with my friend's Canon EOS D30 and
although they made much progress with otherwise inferior CMOS, we
must still wait for a good CMOS-based digital camera. With good light
everything is pretty OK but if you set an equivalent of higher ISO
speed, light is dim and exposures get long there is terrible noise in
the picture. Moreover whites get really burnt-out and tonality is not
smooth in overexposed areas. To tell the truth after intial testing I
only borrow this camera as a substitute of Polaroid shots - to check
the exposure and lighting.
