I suspect it would sell better than an identical Pentax-badged item.
No-nothing salesmen will sell it as a new offering that beats the pants
off the competition price-wise (hopefully) and they will not make the
status/recognition comparison of Pentax vs. Nikon vs. Canon.

Good thoughts, George and Tom. Perhaps it will show up in Walmart, too.
I assume Pentax would get some of the profit on sales of the Samsung
item, or at least Samsung pays them for the items they manufacture. And
I assume that Pentax will be the service/repair provider.
Well, I suppose Pentax has to make money. But now should we worry that
Pentax will become a Schneider-Kreuznach? A maker of things branded
under other names, eventually maybe just a name put on things other
companies make?
