Beware that swapping between Photo Black and Matte Black will cost a lot
of ink as it has to purge the tube that runs from the ink cartridge to
the head. Apparently these printers can't just pump one ink line so it
ends up purging all eight tubes. It pays not to swap blacks too often as
it quickly gets expensive.

I tend to take Mikey with a grain of salt most of the time, this time he
seems to have a good point. I'll wait until my inkset runs out before
swapping out for matte black. In the light of day, the Enhanced Matte print
I made last night looks kind of dead.
I'll put that pack of paper aside until I switch inks, and I'll get some
sort of lustre or semi matte surface for the rest of this cart set.
I expect that when I change the photo black for the matte black ink, it will
still suck back a half cart of ink to make the switch anyway.
Hmmm, maybe I'll just buy a can of matte spray.......
As an aside, I never much liked the full matte papers such as Gallerie Matte
anyway, so it's not such a big issue for me.
