It's guaranteed but the DA40 seems to be the same optical formula as the
old M40mm. Cursory tests
seem to indicate that it covers the format but may be softer at the
edges and corners, (though sharper
at the center), on 35mm than the M40 which is none to sharp there to
begin with.
