No, I'm not sure!

I'm a biologist of invertebrates; I take photos of birds because they are pretty and interesting.

I would need a bird person to tell me what the gull was carrying on about! I have, however, seen gulls here hassling one another when one has got something tasty that the others want.

Anyway, I just thought it was an interesting behaviour to try and get a photograph of. (And I was experimenting with the 70-210 zoom on a doubler with the *ist DL, trying to see if I could get decent photographs doing manual focus and exposure, handheld. I got lucky.)
