In keeping with killing two birds with one stone here is my effort at a Christmas Card.

It also will give anyone interested an idea of the scale, and eccentricities of Gillette's Castle. William Gillette was an eccentric who lived in a Castle, he designed, on several hundred Acres of land overlooking the Connecticut River. In addition to designing the Castle to look like a ruin, he also designed all the electrical switches and electrical
service as well. It is a very strange and interesting place.
This is a view of about 1/3 of the Great Room with Main fire place. The Tree is approximately 18 Feet tall. I chose this view with a Connecticut State Park "Ranger", changing a Holiday Music CD in it to give some human scale. Flash photography was forbidden, so this was hand held from the second floor balcony overlooking the Great Room.
