I didn't know about them going into the ocean or even tide pools. Of
course I've spent my entire life land-locked. Do you get the huge
masses of them that appear in parts of Canada when they end hibernation?
I live in Chicago where we have our very own variety of Garter Snake
although it is very rare and I've never seen one. San Francisco also
has its own variety.
