Don, Thanks for the confirmation and advice. While I have no real plans to use it, I love a challenge, and would not mind trying to fix the ZX-10. It might be fun to try but do you know of an online source for a service manual? Mark Robert's site seems to be inaccessible at the moment so I cannot check there.
I really cannot complain about the camera not working. You are right about the FA50/f1.7. It is a nice lens and worth much more than the price I paid for whole package. Perry.
