I already told you I love it, but now that the Irish got their butts kicked, I'll tell you why I like it so much. It's not just that there's three of them, it's the way two of them seem to be taking a side against the other. Their discussion seems to intense and engaging!. I love your framing decision here, Shel. The oblivious crowd is all on the left, so their out of the way, yet we see them there, as they ignore the little drama going on right next to them. I rather like the fact that they're not a lot OOF, I like that we can see them and their expressions. Since they're not right behind the trio, they're not such a distraction, so seeing them is good. I love their immediate background: those wine bottles are fantastic! I especially like the way they even "get out of the way" of the head of the right-hand lady, seeming to frame her.
