Try changing the date back to 2005 and see if it works again. Maybe the
minolta software has some type of date bug.

Any other image viewer (like IrfanView and ACDSee) works just fine

driver and the software - no help.. Photoshop just keep screaming with
"Could not complete your request because of the program error"
message... I've tried to scan a JPG and it works just fine but not the
TIFF.
I've NEVER seen this before. I've researched the internet today all
day and found absolutely nothing ! Did anyone see this behaviour ?
