Indeed. My daughter was Christened Marja-Liisa after her mother's favorite sister. We called her Miku as a baby. The name stuck. About five years ago she changed her name, officially, to Miku. There is no Deed Poll in Finland -- a visit to the local registration (or Church) office to fill in a form is all that need be done. Miku is now a 'real' name.

You can't call him that!

How about Sven Goran 5-1 Goldenballs Shrek?

How about Zipo Bibrock 5 x 10^8?

I might call it Ektachrome. Which is a much better name than CFcard. 8-)

Doesn't really matter what I think. I know of two cases here where both parents carefully sifted names for both sexes and made mutually agreeable choices. Once the child was born, the mothers called them names that were not even on the original lists.
