Well, that's kind of my point WRT this "study" being flawed.  A fan's
appreciation and knowledge of the game goes a long way to make it
exciting (and vice-versa).

For instance, I notice that curling didn't make the list of "exciting
sports".  As any Canadian knows, there's never been a more exciting
spectacle in sport than watching Eddie "The Wrench" Werenich bring
down the hammer to clear the house, proving all the while that beer
guts and elite athletism can co-exist.

Any sport where the cry heard on the rinks is "Hard!  Hurry,
haaaaaaaaard!!" must be a great sport.
