If it were B&W and off the roll I'm sure you could get costs down for this type of volume, but just the sheer number of shots you'd have to make in such a relatively short time is beyond me. I'd end up with RSI of the shutter finger and a cramp in the other and no desire whatsoever to shoot again for some time. If it worked for your photographer friend then that's great but I suspect that for some people limiting themselves to shooting one good frame a day would be good for their photography too.
