Just had a look on the Patterson web site for the Benbo's.
Interesting concept. Might look into these. I 'll have to see if
anyone in Canada sells
them. I have not
seen any in the local chain store i frequent.
Not many dealers carry them. Benbo is short for Bent Bolt, and a
bent bolt is the key to their design and allows one lever to
simultaneously lock all three legs and the center column. I've used
them on and off over the years. Once you get the hang of it, the
Benbo is just as easy to set up as any other tripod.
There is also the line of Uniloc tripods. These were designed by the
man who invented Benbo after he had a falling out with Paterson.
Uniloc was distributed in North America by a Canadian company, but I
can't remember the name at the moment and Google didn't help.
How willing do you think a store would be to order something like a
Benbo, if they don't
stock them
themselves.??
Depends in most cases on whether they have an account with the
distributor. If they do, they should be willing to order.
