I bought one in 2000, for about $300 Canadian, or back then about $200 US.
Its not to bad of a lens.I found mf was sloppy,but using af on the SF-1 was
good. Decently
sharp up
to around 275mm then a bit of softness at 300, but not as much as you would
think.
I have several horse shots at 300mm that are quite good at 8x10 size.
It didi not balance that well on the K1000, but does on the larger AF bodies.
