One might say that Mark is a small-time operator. But it's a growing and successful business he has going. That helps buyers. So I enjoy them.
He does get large crowds and this one will certainly bring them in. He does get a lot of remote bidders on the phone (the old way) as well as silent bids cast well- before the auction begins. Me, I'm going for the cheap stuff. Maybe the RB or C3 or tripods or other little goodies that I can do well reselling but won't spend too much. The vultures can swoop down on the Leica all they want. It's all over-rated, anyway. :) And, yes, it is quaint. But it's a lot more fun than keyboarding or sniping. You get to talk to get this real PEOPLE. Human Beings. Homo Sapiens. Something with Intelligence. Nothing virtual about it. Flesh and blood. So much fun and so much reality. Collin
