Egad. Personally, yes, I might mention it to the store owner. By way of 
saying you were indirectly personally involved. Then your stance is known. 
He/she 
will know where you are coming from -- that you are not a totally dispassionate 
bystander. So they can take your input with a grain of salt. Or not. In fact, 
you can say that as a customer you are disgusted. He/she as a vendor has a 
right to know that. Customers do have the right to get disgusted.

What the store owner does is up to him/her.

They may know already. I wouldn't be a bit surprised.

This is just my personal opinion. About this specific situation. I would say 
something different about another situation -- not all situations are the same.
