I've flown over 2 million miles since 1993. BA, Virgin, United, American, Southwest, Singapore, Lufthansa, jetBlue, Qantas, you name it. I had a premier class seat on Virgin going to the UK this summer and it was the WORST I've ever been on.
BA was not much better. Meanwhile, I had an economy fare to NY on United in November ... Pleasant personnel, comfortable seats, a pleasure to deal with them.
None of them are very consistent, but I've had my best service from United.
