I can assure you you're wrong on this point. How do I know? Because a 2006 Mustang GT is on my short list of cars to consider as a replacement for my 1986 Mustang GT. The Mustang GT Coupe comes in well under $30K, even with a good list of additional features. A GT convertible with the top interior option package plus the interior trim upgrade is $32K.
