So, I'm heading off to Kingston, Ontario, to visit my kids this weekend. I'll be going to the bus station (it's the proletarian way to go <g>) right from work, so I brought my bags to the office with me. As such, I wanted to travel light. I brought my skates to go skating with the girls this weekend, so luggage space was at a premium.
I'd normally bring my Leica CL in such circumstances, but it has TriX in it. Then, remembering Cory's post about his joy of using his "new" MX, I thought, "hey, I haven't used the MX since I broke my collarbone in October." When I do use the MX, it's normally with either a zoom or the K 1.2 50mm, both of which are relatively bulky with that little body. So, in the interest of compactness, I decided to put on my M 2.0 50mm, which (again) I haven't used for almost a year. What a nice, compact combo! I mean, it's no pancake, but still, it just feels nice in the hand. Before I loaded it with film, I fired off the shutter a few times. So quiet (compared to the LX) and smooth! I'm looking forward to this weekend (for many reasons, reacquainting myself with the MX being only one of them). cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson
