OT: canon lens ques

Is this lens the equivalent of the super sharp Tamron 90mm macro on the 
pentax, but on a canon mount?

will it work on canon's DSLRs?  Esp the rebel.  My brother is looking 
for a macro lens and I suggested he try to find a tamron 90mm since I 
know that the one for the Pentax has a good reputation.
