Well, this would actually be faster than Canon Eos 1Ds Mark II, which can do
an 11 shot RAW burst (4 FPS) every 26 seconds.

But Canon Eos 1D mark II does a 20 frame RAW burst at 8 FPS, every 39
seconds.

Very nice, Dario.
I have noticed that cars are not that difficult to get in focus (See:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/bladt/86789913/ )
I guess they move at a more constant speed and the movement is kind of
predictable, they are quite big etc.
I guess it's more difficult to get people who are running, jumping, waving
their arms, rolling, fighting etc.

This is a little more demanding:

or these:

Well, I know these are picked from hundreds of excellent photographs :-)
I would still love a just a bit more AF-speed, FPS and write speed.
Are you lsstening Pentax, please double or triple these speeds in the next
flag ship model!
Eight FPS, and a 10 shot RAW burst every 10 secs and - of course -
correspondingly fast AF.

Hmmm... not exactly a Formula 1. However, you can find a moving subject
here, in my old D test:
