Press passes for the Stones concert were issued only 30 days in advance, and a letter from the editor of the publication was required. That's standard procedure in US cities for significant concerts. Rules and procedures may be different in Europe.

There's an international camera club/photographers association .- don't
remember the name - but it's located in the US.
If you joint (become a paying member) they will supply you with a press
card. I'm not sure, however, that this will get you a photo permit for a concert o this magnitude. I'm sure only selected photogs will be allowed. If there's no public access, it's not necessarily legal to photograph without a
permission. You will risk to get thrown out. Why don't you give them a
call - the ones who arrange the concert. Perhaps they don't care too much.
Only the photogs with the really good places to be can in fact
compete/threaten the pros, anyway.
I sometimes got a permission only by asking. I photographed the Brand New
Heavies in Tivoli without asking, BTW (an Optio wouldn't have been very
helpful anyway):

On 15/1/06, Thibouille, discombobulated, unleashed:

Did someone even manage to enter in such a concert with all security
measures?
And anyway, I will be quite far away, so would it be even worth the try?

You could try an Optio S in the folds of a wooly hat :-)
