Well Sunday up here was a really nice sunny day, but cold and windy.
Seeing as i did not want to waste it, i went out in search of abandoned
houses,barns etc
like a
normally do.
This time along with the istD and PZ-1 i took my Nikon D1 along. I wanted to
see how it
would perform
in B&W mode and a #25 red on the lens. (My Hoya R72 has not arrived yet.)
Now, the one big probelm these D1's and batteries have is that after a while,
they may
show full or 3/4
etc but there is not enough ummp in them to record a shot.
I went out with the thing at 3/4, and a smile on my face.
Well thank goodnes i had the Pentax gear. I took about 15 -20 shots of this
great old
house with all
three cameras,and when i looked at the screen back in the truck(eyes were
running from the
wind(-
25wind chilli chimped in the truck)lo and behold the dreaded black screen.
Looks like another $125.00 battery on its way out.
New # rule,Check the damn camera before driving 250 Km's from the house, and
take the
spare..LOL
