Do you notice it when comparing Canon 6MP to Canon 8MP or when you compare 
another 6MP to Canon 8MP? In the latter case (and to some extent even in the 
former one) there could be more important reasons for noticeable better 
quality of the 8MP (in addition to pixel count).
