Probably worth it, and a better deal than I got.
So it goes with impulse purchases... ;-)

Godfry,
I did the same search on ebay. KEH has four Varimagni finders in
excellent to like new conditions and all are less than $100. I am
still thinking about ordering one.

I just looked and found about 8 of them currently being auctioned
(search for "Olympus VariMagni"). A few are currently bidding in the
$50 price range and have 3-4 days to go.

Completed listings shows prices between $90 and $150 on average for
the past few months, a few higher than that.

Saw one listed as "Like new" with a 30 day return policy and a buy it
now price of $134. Hmm. I snapped it up as I've been needing
something more usable than the Canon. This way I can find out whether
it really works or not, return it if it doesn't.

Godfrey,
I agree about the cost of the Pentax finder. The Ref-C "A" runs over
$350 new! I would like one for macro work, but cannot justify even
$100 for one. If I get a deal I will pick one up. Seems like the Oly
angle finder might be easier to find on eBay than either the Minolta
or the Pentax.
