Your reply, Scott, reminds me that when I first got my MX several
years ago (obviously used), the mirror would stick up about every 10
shots or so.  I don't recall that it happened any more at the faster
shutter speeds than the slow ones.

Whatever the case, a CLA fixed the problem.  The repair shop surmised
that it was merely gunk in the shutter rails that made the shutter
stick (after it actually fired) so that it couldn't complete its
cycle.  Since the mirror mechanism and the shutter mechanism are
connected, the shutter cycle affects the mirror.

I've always thought that when buying a used camera a CLA should be
considered part of the purchase price.

As for the flickering leds, I've heard this to be a not uncommon
problem, but I can't offer any advice there.
